Our Board
At Police Credit, our top priority is our members, which is why our Board of Directors have been appointed by our members. The role of the Board of Directors is to effectively guide Police Credit into the future with strong financial performance, wellbeing and security, and to operate in an ethical and responsible manner so that we deliver a real alternative to banks and other profit-driven competitors. The key responsibilities of the board include:
- improving organisational and operational performance
- setting strategic directions and targets
- monitoring the principal business and prudential risks
- monitoring overall financial performance
- ensuring business operations are undertaken in an honest and ethical manner
- succession planning

Lionel Allemand MAICD
Chairman
Lionel Allemand is the Chairman of the Board, a position he has held since 1996. He has been a Director since 1986. Lionel retired from Victoria Police after a career that spanned more than 39 years. He is also a member of the Corporate Governance Committee, the Remuneration Committee and Chairman of the Nominations Committee. |

Deputy Chairman
Sergeant John Capewell has been a member of Victoria Police for 30 years. He has been a Director since 1999 and Deputy Chairman since 2003. John is a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. |

Director
David Boell is the most recent addition to the Police Credit Board. He has been a serving member of Victoria Police for 20 years, and holds a Bachelor of Business (majoring in marketing and management). |

Morrie Buchan MAICD
Director
Morrie Buchan, a foundation Director, has served on the Board since its inception in 1974 and was Chairman from 1984 to 1986. He retired from Victoria Police in 1989. Morrie is a member of the Corporate Governance Committee. |

Christine McIntyre APM, MAICD, Diploma of Government (Investigation), Certificate IV in Government (Investigation), Certificate IV in Investigation Services
Director
Christine McIntyre has been a Director since 1996. She is Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee. Christine retired from Victoria Police in November 2005 after 34 years and is currently the National Manager of Investigations for a large corporate security services firm. |

Director
After retiring from Victoria Police as a Detective Chief Inspector following 36 years of service, John now enjoys pursuing other interests. John is Chairman of the Audit and Risk Management Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee. |

Wayne Taylor M Ed, Grad. Dip. Public Admin, Dip.Training, AAICD
Director
Wayne was recently elected to the Board for a three-year term. He is a long-standing PC member and a police officer with 32 years of service in the field. He has a wealth of experience and holds a Master of Education, a Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and a Diploma of Training. Wayne is also a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee. |
